What is a Mausoleum?

A burial crypt in our
Mausoleum allows families to choose above groundt in single
or double crypts in an interior or exterior environment.
With garden aspects or overlooking the Memorial Garden and lake,
exterior placements are faced with solid granite to suggest the
permanence of remembrance in an ever-changing world.
Set against a backdrop of gentle music and soft grey marble,
interior placements are set in an environment of inspiration as well as
comfort. Central to the interior hall is a glass mural reproduction of
Giovanni Donato Montorfano's c.1495 fresco from the refectory of the
Milan's Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. A reminder of Christ's
sacrifice on the cross, this stirring work is a fitting centrepiece for
this light filled interior space.
As well as offering above ground burial, the Courtyard of the Piet�
Mausoleum provides niches for cremated remains. Fronted by elegant
polished stone or marble panels, these discreet niches are in keeping
with the classical surrounds of the Mausoleum.
