Monumental Graves
What is a monumental grave?
As the most traditional form of burial marker, you have probably
seen rows of monumental graves in some of Victoria's older cemeteries.
Consisting of a solid headstone resting on a grave body, monumental
graves create a solid and lasting memorial.
What should I know about monumental graves?
- Each monumental grave is supplied with a foundation system
designed to support the weight of any headstone and full grave monument
constructed according to cemetery regulations.
- Each grave can have up to two burials and ashes are permitted to be interred.
- You
can request a free wooden cross and/or wooden grave surround, if
required, for a period of six months while the monument is being
constructed.
- Wide aisles allow easy access and complement the tribute with a feeling of spaciousness.
Monumental Masons are available through the Yellow Pages or the internet for all your Monument needs.
