Funerals
Arranging a Funeral
"What would they have wanted?" We all find ourselves asking, if
arrangements haven't been made in advance. This can be a trying time
for your family, but the burden can be lessened by our staff, who are
trained to counsel grief-stricken relatives and help them devise a
suitable memorial service for the deceased.
What should a funeral include?
There are no hard and fast rules as to what constitutes a funeral,
families are free to commemorate the life of the deceased in any way
they like provided they adhere to the health and safety regulations and
the terms of use of the cemetery. Our funeral organisers can certainly help you with suggestions, if you wish.
Memorial Services
We all want to create a service that we imagine the deceased would have
enjoyed. At Bunurong, we have the facilities and flexibility to make
every service as unique as the person you're commemorating.
The
first step in formalising remembrance of your loved one is the memorial
service. Whether you choose cremation or burial, a service in
Bunurong's Weeroona Chapel is offered without charge.
With space for up to 150 people (including seating for 60) and
state-of-the-art event management technology at your fingertips, you
can run the service as you wish - playing music, projecting images,
relaying video footage on the two large screens, cueing audio readings
or creating your own slide show.

Funeral Catering
To reduce the stress on you and your family on the day of the
service, please use our Condolence Lounges (adjacent to the chapel) to
gather with your friends and relatives after the service. Coffee, tea
and biscuits are provided at no cost; however, more extensive catering
is also available. Ask your funeral organiser about menus and price
lists.
